Plenty of visitors took advantage of the opportunity to try out the facilities at WLTSC by attending the LTA’s Nature Valley Open Day on Bank Holiday morning.
An energetic fitness circuits session, part of it outdoors, was led by System Energize Head of Fitness Paul Fothergill, providing the usual lively start to a Monday morning.
Then attentions turned to racket sports, with visitors able to enjoy some fun on the squash and racketball courts, as well as a spot of coaching from Chris Dawson, Andy Hepworth, Helen Tottey and Neil Patel.
And the tennis courts soon filled up with people wanting to give the sport a try, with coaching provided from Paul Hodgetts and Tom Welsh.
WLTSC Chairman John Hollingsworth, Operations Manager Marc Hughes, Gym Chairman Nigel Mynott and Marketing & Events Co-Ordinator Nikki Parkes were also on hand to look after visitors with many taking the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the facilities.
A great morning was then rounded off with lunchtime refreshments provided in the bar and restaurant.
The WLTSC Open Day was one of many taking place across the country to encourage more people to have a go at racket sports with all equipment provided.
