WLTSC are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Head of Squash and Racketball in Chris Dawson.

Following a series of interviews and on-court assessment Chris has landed the new role which he will officially start on September 4th.

A player-coach in both squash and racketball, he is looking forward to meeting as many members as possible in his new position and helping to increase participation in both sports.

Chris says:  “I am also looking to progress the Junior aspect of squash at Wolverhampton.

“As squash players, we all know that squash is a great game and I am keen to get this message out to juniors and hopefully coach some future champions in the making.

“There is so much to the game of squash, and there is always something to learn, which is why I am so passionate about it.”

The same applies to racketball, a growing sport, which Chris will be keen to continue to develop and improve at WLTSC.

He will now oversee the coaching programme, ably assisted by Darren Lewis, Andy Hepworth and the club’s wonderful volunteers.

A new partnership has been secured with Tettenhall College which will see WLTSC coaches delivering ten hours a week to their students during term term on their two new courts.

Operations Manager would like to thank Squash Chairman Guy Birkett, the committee and playing members involved in the assessments for their help and feedback during the extensive recruitment process.

Everyone at WLTSC wishes Chris well in his new position.

We plan to feature an interview with Chris when he has started at WLTSC.
