People from Wolverhampton are being encouraged to get active on World Squash Day and visit WLTSC to give the sport a try.

WLTSC are opening their doors on the morning of Saturday, October 12th, for anyone interested in playing squash or racketball.

The activity on World Squash Day is the latest in a string of initiatives as the club aims to encourage more people to enjoy the fun and competition of sport.

“We are fortunate to have a range of members here at WLTSC of all ages and abilities who enjoy playing squash and racketball,” said Chris Dawson, Head of Squash & Racketball.

“Our current tournament, the Dave Smart Racketball Trophy, attracted a record 64 entries and, being based on a handicap system, everyone has got a chance.

“That is the message that we are promoting this World Squash Day, that both squash and racketball are great sports which can really improve health and fitness and are open to anyone to try.”

Visitors will be more than welcome at the club to try squash from 10am-11am on Saturday and racketball from 11am-noon, with all equipment provided.
